Handyman meets a woman with taste!
Janet has always been an artist but has done stints in radio broadcasting, the hospitality industry etc. Her Raku ceramics, sculpture and paintings can be seen throughout the house. Most importantly, even ordinary things benefit from her sense of placement. The gardens and every breakfast are presented as a works of art as well! Years ago, Max worked in the entertainment and
publishing industries. Twenty-five years of renovating the downtown house
turned him into a bit of a handyman and a glutton for punishment. So,
just when things were getting a little easier, we decided to buy another
much neglected Victorian landmark. Bay Breeze Manor emerged in all her
glory (well almost) after two and a half years of TLC. In 2002 we were
presented with two awards "for the meticulous restoration" of
Bay Breeze Manor. We think the neighbours are happy too! ...and, as Janet
would say, you ain't seen nothin' yet. |
